One Body, Many Parts

This Easter, Reject Divisive Rhetoric.

During this Easter season, as we celebrate Christ’s resurrection, we are reminded of the shared dignity and divine image present in every person—regardless of immigration status, nationality, or background.

And yet, in public discourse, refugees and immigrants are increasingly referred to as threats—“invaders,” “illegals,” even “poison.” This language not only distorts reality, it dehumanizes. It contradicts what we know to be true about our neighbors: hardworking parents, faithful parishioners, children in our schools—each one with inherent dignity and God-given purpose.

This moment calls for courage and clarity. We are many parts of one body, as St. Paul teaches. Let us live that truth.

Take action now:

Together, let us reject divisive rhetoric and reflect our identity as children of God.
