We Are All the Body of Christ
JRS/USA invites you to reflect on what it means to be part of the Body of Christ—a global community united in compassion, dignity, and hope. In a world marked by displacement, war, and suffering, we are called to walk alongside our brothers and sisters who have been forced to flee their homes.
At Jesuit Refugee Service, we believe that no one is excluded from this sacred body. Together—with you—we accompany, serve, and advocate for the dignity of those who are displaced.
Every Member Matters
The Body of Christ is made up of many members, each with unique gifts and a shared purpose. Refugees are not separate from this body; they are integral to it—resilient, gifted, and essential.
At JRS, we encounter Christ in those we accompany: a teacher rebuilding a school in Myanmar, a mother offering comfort in a temporary shelter in Lebanon, a student returning to the classroom in Cameroon.
We Are Called to Act
As people of faith, we are called to respond—not with pity, but with solidarity. When one part of the body suffers, we all suffer. When one is lifted up, we all are.
This month, reflect with us, act with us, and bring the body closer to wholeness.
